The Offspring Project is a series of photographs
of artists' children with their parents' creative
work. I grew up as the daughter of a mother painter/installation-artist
and father art-historian. I was inspired to begin
this project during a meditation retreat during which
I experienced a moment of tremendous gratitude for
having parents as artists.
I have photographed about 20 different artists' children and continue to photograph more for this project throughout the states, Europe, and Korea, including Sookyung Lee, Robert Yarber, Julie Heffernan, and Elena Sisto to name a few. The locations where I shoot can include the artists' studios or homes or museums/galleries where they are exhibiting.
